A week ago, I boarded a jet, prepared to accept my fate as a future Obsidian Sector Princess.

However, I ended up in Gold Sector as Prince Onyx’s prisoner instead.

The dragon-shifting Alpha is insufferable.

Controlling.

And has no concept of loyalty.

He claims he’s “protecting” me.

But I don’t need his protection.

“I’ll escape you,” I vow.

“Then I’ll chase you, little hellion,” he returns. “And when I catch you, I’ll dress you in silver chains.”

I try not to imagine what he means, try not to picture him tying me up in my nest and punishing me with his knot. Because falling for this prince is the last thing I can afford to do.

So I’ll run and fulfill my familial obligation.

Even if it means breaking my own heart in the process.
